NME Contents Page
When i first look at this contents page from NME magazine i automatically get drawn to the subscribtion to the magazine because although it is placed at the bottom, it is in the brightest colour, which is only used on that part and it is backed by a black background so it stands out more. I would think the creators of NME has done this on purpose so you can see how much money you would save if you subscribed to this magazine, which in the long run makes them more money too. Next i was drawn to the feauture article of this magazine about the band Oasis. This also was most probably made the focus point as this is what most of that weeks edition of the magazine will be about and they want you to read it seen as they would of spent more time on that part than some of the other parts.
Contents pages are split into two parts usually and these are features (which only appear in one particular issue) and regulars (the items that appear in each issue) the features in this magazine are the pages about Oasis, Kings Of Leon, Lil Wayne, Cage The Elephant and Debbie Harry. These are all things that this magazine have researched into just for this edition and will be on majority of the magazine. The regulars in this magazine that appear every week are Letters, Peter Robinson Vs, Gear and Crossword, NME TV and 12 Steps. These will be the parts of the magazine that the NME readers will expect to see everyweek.
I liked the layout of this contents page as i thought it was very easy to follow and understand where sections of the magazine you want to read are. Also all the headings and subheadings show up well and don't get lost in the background as it is a very simple layout and colour scheme.
